When should I consider 3D animation instead of live-action video for my product?

3D animation is the better choice when your product is difficult, expensive or simply impossible to film. It’s perfect for showing internal mechanisms, industrial or medical equipment, or products in early conceptualisation. 3D animation gives you full creative control over how your product is presented, while still looking like the real thing!

How much does 3D animation cost?

It varies greatly. We quote on a per-hour production basis (A.K.A how many hours would it take our team to bring your product to life). Complexity, realism, texture work, animation length and access to design files will all affect the total cost.

Can you turn my product into a 3D model?

Yes, we can! We can adapt your CAD or design files into our animation software to greatly reduce cost and turnaround time. If you don’t have existing files, we can build the model from scratch using product photos or technical specs.

I don’t have a product, but my project needs 3D animation, can you help?

Yes, absolutely. We’ve combined 3D animation and product video services onto this page as they are the most requested use of 3D animation. Our team can apply 3D animation to anything, including explainer videos, cartoons, pilots and live-action footage.

How long does it take to make a 3D animation?

It can vary, but a standard 3D product video would take between 3-5 weeks. This includes a lot of pre-planning with yourself and our team, along with visual tests and storyboards.

Can I get still images or renders alongside the video?

Yes, and that’s a great way to get more value for your money. Once the product has been prepped for animation, we can render high-resolution images from any angle. You can use these for your website, in ads, as sales collateral and more!
